DESIREE to be showcased at the European Fuel Cell Forum 2026

DESIREE project partner BOSAL will participate in the European Fuel Cell Forum (EFCF) 2026, one of the leading international events dedicated to fuel cells, electrolysers and hydrogen technologies. The event will take place from 30 June to 3 July 2026 in Lucerne, Switzerland.

Project team member Jorith Massa, Innovation Engineer at BOSAL, will attend the forum and help raise awareness of the project among researchers, technology developers and industry stakeholders in the fields of hydrogen and electrolysis. Within DESIREE project, BOSAL contributes to the development of advanced heat exchanger solutions and other system-level innovations aimed at improving the performance and integration of Solid Oxide Electrolyser (SOEL) technology. The event will provide an opportunity to share information about DESIREE’s development of an advanced 40 kW multi-stack SOEL prototype designed to improve the efficiency, durability and system integration of renewable hydrogen production systems. Visitors interested in learning more about the project will be able to meet Jorith Massa and the BOSAL team at booth B12 throughout the event.

Massa will also introduce the EU-funded 24/7 ZEN project, which is developing reversible solid oxide cell (rSOC) technology for energy storage and grid balancing applications. Together, the two projects demonstrate how solid oxide technologies can contribute to the future of renewable hydrogen and clean energy systems.

Europe’s leading forum for solid oxide technologies

Organised annually in Switzerland, the European Fuel Cell Forum is recognised as one of the most important international meeting points for the fuel cell, electrolyser and hydrogen communities. The event focuses on the latest scientific and technological developments in solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC), solid oxide electrolysers (SOE) and related electrochemical energy conversion technologies.

The 2026 edition, held under the motto “Shaping solid oxide technologies for a sustainable future“, will bring together researchers, industry representatives and policymakers to discuss advances in materials, cells, stacks, systems and commercial deployment. The programme includes technical presentations, poster sessions, tutorials, exhibitions, project meetings and networking activities.

Participation in EFCF 2026 will provide an excellent opportunity to increase the visibility of DESIREE among key stakeholders from the international hydrogen sector, exchange knowledge with leading experts and strengthen connections with organisations working to advance clean hydrogen technologies.
